A Missive From The Wilderness

It's been a long time since my last post.  Work continues to kill virtually everything you'd call creative momentum, and doesn't show any real signs of letting up until October.  I'm glad I decided to pass on GenCon this year when my wife lost her previous job, because I would almost certainly not get the time off for it now.  The superhero game I was working on  is a bit less of a sure thing, as two of my likely players had to move away rather suddenly.  On the plus side, I've still got Tuesday night Pathfinder, my 4e game with Master Maze, and my 4e game for newbies.  Today is the newbie game.  I'm not sure if I'll get enough players for the game to make (I need at least four players and only have three confirmed), so I've got Wrath of Arshadalon on stand-by, just in case.

Here's hoping the rest of you get a chance to rock the dice this weekend.

  1. Sounds like you still have a great palette of games. I get t play some Moldvay Basic tomorrow, so it's all good.

  2. We ended up playing Wrath of Arshadalon as it turned out. Only three players showed, but since WoA is a coop game for up to five, I let my son sit in. We had a blast. It's great for whiling away a few hours in mindless dungeon absurdity. We even lucked into facing the titular dragon in our final session (it was pure random chance) and took him down. I fired up the grill after, burned meat and meat-like objects, and we hung out talking a good deal later than usual. I'll count that as a win any day.
