It's been too long between posts again. I've got something percolating in the back of my mind on the subject of gaming history; namely how my definition of "Old School" likely differs from a lot of the OSR crowd and gamers of my vintage.
However, that's going to have to wait a bit.
Eh ... who said a post is needed each day? Sometimes I have something to say, other times I don't. Sometimes I just show pictures of my feet. At any rate, blogging to me should be fun, not another job. That's why I just post when I feel like it.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I look forward to your take on old school. Until next time, Happy Eating :-)
Funny you should mention eating. I just made a killer Saag Paneer to take a work lunch thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a Saag Paneer?
ReplyDeleteIt's an Indian spinach and cheese dish (we do a monthly lunch at work, and this month's theme was "Anything Green.") Essentially, it's a curried creamed spinach with Paneer, an Indian take on Farmer's Cheese added in.
ReplyDeleteI think that any game that involves dice, face to face interaction and books is "old school." :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, my goodness. Now that does sound good. I love when we do cooking days at our job. And yours sounds so fun. Anything Green. Very cool.
ReplyDelete@Christian: I agree!
ReplyDelete@Whisk: There are about a bajillion recipes for it online (getting paneer is the hardest part, but Houston is blessed with lots of Indian groceries, even out in the burbs where I dwell), though mine is pretty much seat-of-the-pants cooking at it's best.
I think "Anything Green" came about because the person organizing it is running low on ideas. :-)
Hi Theron: I do seat of my pants cooking and baking. It's the only way to fly.
