Another Blast From The Past

I'd love to say my gaming collection is immaculately curated and organized. I'd love to. But it's messy and haphazard, and since so much of it consists of loose notes and paper stowed away in folders, I know there are things I've put aside and may never see again. There's a reason I refer to it as more of an accumulation than a collection.

But, once in a while, something neat surfaces. A few weeks ago, while hunting for something else, I found a folder containing all four of my Hero Games Newsletters. These were a bonus you got for subscribing to Adventurers Club, consisting of four pages printed on 11 x 17 paper. They contained previews of new stuff, fan-submitted material, and were an attempt to knit the community of fans a little closer together They're an interesting curiosity from a time when snail mail was the only mail, and long-distance phone calls a luxury.

I thought others might find them interesting, so I got permission from Jason Walters to scan and make them available. It took me a few weeks to get around to it, but I finally have them ready. I did take the precaution of redacting any addresses or phone numbers. They're probably irrelevant now, but I figured better safe than sorry.

I only subscribed to AC for a year, so I just have issues 2-4 of volume 1 and issue 1 of volume 2. I have no idea how long they kept these running. If anyone has additional issues, I'd love to see them.
